I just got my new BLADE in the mail. Browsing through it, I saw J. Nielson's smiling face TWICE! Yeppers, I think J. and Tess are destined to be one of the great couples in knifemaking. Heck, I was thinking I better get Tess to make me a few sheaths before I just can't afford them any more! Congrats to you, J, and Tess. You guys are on the way up! ;)

Thanks for the heads-up Jeff and to the rest of you guys too. I've gotta wait about another week before I get my Blade issue but, now I've got something to look forward to. This forum and you guys are a big part of why we've been doing so well. Thanks again to you all.

All the GREAT Work I've seen from Ya'll is wonderful. I still dream of the Shark Tooth knife  . I hope you have a lifetime of rewards for the 3 of ya'll.
Peace
Bob

I've been restraining myself in regards to commenting on J and Tess's work. I'm very concerned about his hat wardrobe. I mean if this keeps up, his head is going to swell so big, he'll need new hats. Then he'll have to charge more for his knives. Then he'll find out they sell even better. Then he'll become rich. Then he won't talk to us any more. Then I'll get sad and kick the dog. Then the dog is going to bite the mail man. Then the mail man will go postal. Then they'll pass new gun control laws and take all our guns. Then I won't be able to go hunting any more.

That's why I'm not going to tell J and Tess how impressed I am with their work.

Your a nut Steve. Believe it or not, I actually got my Blade mag. today. Some family photo, heh? Danny's a year old and he already got into Blade. ;)

Thanks again for the kind words guy. Rich and knifemaking don't really got together I think but, not to worry. Though I don't wear hats, I always have a bandana on my head in the shop and I keep it pretty tight. :D

Yeah, we work pretty hard but, all the tips, help, tutorials and such from all you guys have shortened the learning curve for myself and alot of fellas. Thanks again to you all.

Since you is "Moveing on up" You needs to get a signature hat!

Major congratulations J and Tess!!! You're doing great and it's fantastic to see your work recognized. Being so humble about it is maddening though. Many of us have watched you earn your stripes - and you have earned them. :D Keep up the good work.

It's great to see people you know get what they deserve!

(That did come out as a compliment didn't it? ;) )

Thanks guys.

OK, just to clear things up in case there are any misconceptions here...I know Dave gives me hell for modesty but, the picture of the three of up is in exchange for the knife I made for the Blade show give-away. I didn't know about this until we decided to get a table so other may not know about it. 11 folks make a give-away knife for the Blade show and they get their picture in the Blade show ad sometime in that year. So that was basically advertising, as well as fun. (I just wish I knew who won the knife, it was one of our damascus railroad spikes.) No points for that one. But...

I was really happy to see one of our knives in the "what's new" section of Blade Mag. in the same issue though. I really liked that bowie. I at least like to feel I got that one on merit.
:D
