This is a story from when I was very young of the first times I remember being interested in knives/sharp things.

When I was about 6 or 7, my parents gave me a really nice gold (not real gold) letter opener. I remember seeing from movies that "in order to get a sharp knife, scrape it on a rock and it will get sharp." Or so my young brain thought. I aggressively scraped the letter opener on a rock for probably a good hour out in the back yard, but for some reason, it was only getting really scratched up and not sharp at all. It was only a matter of time before my mom came to find me and yelled at me because it ruined the letter opener. And that's when I knew I was destined to forever be addicted to knives.

Let's hear your stories from your childhood about knives, swords, etc.
