Destroying heat treat

Maybe this is a dumb question, but:

Can I hurt the heat treat on a blade by leaving it in my car on a hot day? It can get upwards of 150 degrees inside; I've had plastics melt on my dashboard... or do heat treat problems surface at higher temps?

No way. Knives are never tempered at below 350 degrees Fahrenheit -- if your car gets that hot, it's on fire.
