Destruction test of BÖHLER K390 high speed steel

I wanted to carry out this test for some time now to try and understand the pressure it takes to destroy the BÖHLER K390 high speed steel, to say the least I am impressed how much pressure it took to snap the blade like this. At 64RC, the blade was held in between the platforms on a hydraulic press with a gap of only 1 3/8" where I did the test. Such a fine grain structure this steel has.
