Detent Ball Question

Scored a new MC/GB Zaan (thanks KSF) and I noticed it has a new white ceramic detent ball. Just a heads up.

Mine was born on December 4, 2024.

Im guessing a supply chain issue or maybe they needed to go with a higher hardness ceramic (can it get any harder?) due to the MagnaCut.

Anyone else have white detent balls?

I just got a zaan in from the recon 1 drop with a dec 11th dob and it looks exactly like this. It’s just a dab of grease.

Sorry guys, it's been a while since getting a BNIB CRK.

My other one was from a brick and mortar shop. Owner must've wiped the grease clean before putting it in the case.

Yeah it seems kind of random if youll have a dab of grease or not. I bought a large inkosi. a small seb, and my latest zaan and all 3 had a dab of grease on the ball. But Ive also got a large seb, a zaan, and another small seb with no grease. All of them were brand new with 2024 dob cards and from dealers.
