I've had a higher end knife for quite some time now that i never really carry because the detent is very loose and i always end up poking myself with the blade. I was wondering if it was possible to tighten it or if it just needs to stay a safe queen lol

It would be easier to comment knowing the actual model, but in general if there is a detent ball, you can probably press in a taller one. Tightening the pivot screw is another simple trick that works sometimes.

It is a custom by SA maker Theuns Prinsloo

Since you've said it's a higher-end knife and a custom maker...one would expect that the maker would support his work...and obviously, repair an indent that allows the blade to open in your pocket...
Didn’t really want to have to ship it back to South Africa because I would have to deal with customs and such
