Is there any way to determine the age of a Cold Steel Knife?
Specifically the "Finn Bear"

Having just come from the CS website, I saw the Finn Bear comes with a (IMHO) miserable, nasty, rotten, dispicable "Secure-X" sheath.
(I'm very sorry, but I really dislike the "Secure-X" sheaths that came with my "GI Tanto" and (not a Bowie) "Bushman". I much prefer a leather or nylon sheath.)

My Finn Bear came with a rather nice nylon sheath. (knife and sheath were recently gifted to me) Does the Nylon Sheath help date the knife?

Thank you.

The sheath may help. There is a catalog archive under Resources on the CS website...may want to look through them to see what you can find.

ETA: They just changed their website, so now the catalogs are under Company.
