Thank you to Andy for allowing me to post in his forum I Wanted to repost these last two knives with new pics, This is the Grunt model it is 5/32" 1095 heat treated steel with convex saber grind and secondary microbevel. The blade length is 33/4" long 1 1/4" wide and the handles are just under 5" the overall length is 8 1/2". These are super clean knives and small enough for a light utility carry. I have one with white satin scales and orange and black liners and the other is red linen micarta with black liners and pins. Hope you guys like them.

Nice looking knife, clean and simple. I like the finish, has kind of an as forged look to it. :) The one with the red handle is really pretty.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys I really appreciate the feedback and the best is yet to come. Semper Fi- Ron

DDK,

First of all - Semper Fi.

I wanted to give some of my personal feedback on the knife. Without handling it - this is mostly an aesthetic review

1) I think the ricasso (Finger guard) is a little thick for this type of blade.
2) I think the blade is a little wide (tall) for the length of the blade.
3) I think the point is a little thin (should be a little more spear than pin point) for the width of the blade.
4) I would like to see your flat finish to be taken to a higher grit. I think it could stand to be a little shinier.
5) I think double bevels on a convex blade is a quick way out - take it to full convex.

With all of that said

a) Your handle work and contouring is excellent.
b) You plunge lines look very even.
c) You color choicing on the white handle is excellent
d) The price on these are a steal.

Please take these as simply my opinions - but I know how much I value honest feedback on my work - so I hope you see it as I intended it.

Hoo-rah.

TF

Thanks for the feedback, I always like to get another perspective on things, I just started doing this in January so alot of the things people point out are things that I might not have noticed or even known to look for. I will always accept constructive criticism and seek to improve as a knifemaker and craftsman, so I can deliver the best product possible.
