Barry just returned me my EDC, a small Sebe 21 with one of his Carbonfibre handle slabs installed. After seeing his previous post(s) on a Damascus & Carbonfibre combo, I had to take the plunge.
First impressions: A great visual match for the Devon Thomas SS Raindrop Damascus blade. Fit is perfect, blade centered, opens & closes as it should. During several e-mails I asked Barry about a less agressive texture then shown on the Lg Sebe in prev post "Damascus and CarbonFibre". The groove depth & texture are very positive without overkill. As I reach into my pocket to pull her out, grooves are under my thumb, aiding my grip.

!!! What type of damascus is that, high contrast? Is it coated? There is no way I could ever get my darker part of my stainless damascus to even come close to that black polished obsidian look. My stainless damascus from CRK was very dull and dissapointing.. I re-etched it and it got much better.. but no where near that!
