Alright, I got myself a dewalt portaband, and have it set up vertically (will post pics soon). But now I'm shopping for blades. I have a few that came with it, but it's been reccomended to me that I buy the best blades I can get. So, if you use a dewalt portaband, what blades do you use, and where do you get them?

I will be cutting mainly handle materials, but will still cut a large amount of metal, mainly steel, so I would need metal cutting blades.

Thanks everyone, Stephen.

I was in the same boat, my blades kept coming off the wheels...... I needed new ones.

I ended up buying Dewalt replacements, cost me $21 for a pack of 3 here locally from a small business. So far so good, I've profile a 17"oal 1/4" stock, and around 8 knives 1/8" stock and some handle material..

so when in doubt I guess factory replacement will suffice..

I have new 3 packs of Dewalt blades. They are thicker and heavier than my other ones. They keep coming off the wheels as well. Anyone make adjustments to the tracking to fix this problem on their saw?

I use to go with what ever portaband blades I could get but the last time I bought some I got them at Lowes and they had Lenox brand. By far the best I have used and the price was fair.

I just set up a Milwaukee Portable bandsaw. I went down to Lowes and picked up a box of the Lenox 18tpi and have had zero problems.
