I have a chance to get couple of these, for cheap, and was wondering about the quality of these, edge holding,etc....I love thin knives, these should perform well.

I've got a couple that I'm putting handles on, one boning knife and one hunter/fisher. They are from excellent quality carbon steel and, in my experience, come wickedly sharp. They are built to slice and do it well while the low price sweetens the deal.

I suggest you go for it. If you don't like them then you won't be angry about spending too much.

They should be made from a 1095 equivalent with a decent heat treat and time tested designs so as long as you don't want stainless they should be good knives(assuming you give them a good handle)

Do they have better heat treat than old hickory knives(little harder ,higher rc,and better edge holding),or theyre about same?

I have few old hickory knives ,like them, but they are little soft, otherwise excellent knives.Green river boning and hunting blanks are on their way .....If someone knows some other good not too expensive blanks to get, please let me know(flat or convex ground),carbon or stainless but with good heat treat.
