Came across some pics of the Lum Encounter. Looks pretty good. It is made by Seki-cut. Have you seen one? Do you have any info on this company? Someone said it was the same outfit that makes knives for several well known companies.

The Encounter has a 4" blade of D2 steel.

I like the looks of it but would like to get an opinion of the quality.

Dennis - I fondled these knives at the Seki-Cut booth. Excellent fit and finish, great lock up, and very good edge quality. IMHO very high quality products. If you get one, let us know!

Excellent question, Keith. I was wondering the same thing. Seki-cut has made quite a few knives with Micarta and it would sure be nice if that is what one of those black handled ones were

The handle material in the pics are:

1. anodized aluminum
2. black g-10
3. beadblast aluminum
4. black g-10 and stainless steel, giving a bolster effect.

Moteng does list a model number SC104 that has linen micarta handles. :D They also list a small encounter that has the same handle configurations. They do not have the specs on the small listed, however.
