I usually don't get to personal on here and I only show my Becker Family.
Today I thought I would post some pics of me and my other family........the Wife and kid.
I always enjoy the threads of all your adventures with your families and stuff so I guess It is my turn. Nothing is better in my book that family and the outdoors.
Well on Saturday I took the Wife and kid out to do a little hiking and let the boy swim for the first time. He absolutely loved it, was a natural in the water.
We all had a great time.
MY Wife and 15 month old Son
First spot we stopped at and let the boy play in the water.
He was so excited to be in the water and I was the proudest father ever!
Took him to the deeper water and he was a little more hesitant.
Lot's of awesome rocks.
Trekking along!
This set of rocks looked like it would make an awesome shelter if needed. I'd just be scared of it cracking and crushing me.
Looked like a stick bug crawling across a web?
A wall of vines.
Well the wife and little one needed a break so I set up the hammock for them. He was so tired that he fell asleep with an orange slice in his hand. haha.
I left them and went to gather some punk wood that we passed on the trail earlier.
My trusty BK-16 was ready for action!
Took this back to process it.
Someone woke up while I was in the middle of processing the wood.
Broke off all the punk wood, some of the outer wood on one side was still hard so I left that.
Filled up my empty 40oz Kleen Kanteen and also my water bottle holder with the punk wood. Gonna char it sometime this week.
Never used charred punk wood before but I hear its great for flint and steel. Gonna try that instead of my char cloth.
Drying out fire steel that was in my sheath since I went in the water with it.
What a fun time. And Almost had to put up the tarp cause it was about to rain, felt a few drops but quickly blew over. I wanted the wife to try the tarp and hammock out in a rain storm so bad! lol Maybe next time.
Good news is that the Wife liked the hammock so much that she said she wanted to go hammock camping with me. So I guess its time to order her her own hammock with a bug net!
Hope you all enjoyed my little adventure and thanks for looking.
