What's Your opinion. Don't you think the SCHHD1 is a direct knock off of the orignal Schrade D'holder knife? Notice the model numbers are simply reversed. hd 1 instead of dh1. It looks the same as the Schrade D'Holder. How do they get away with it without Mr. Holder's permission?

Stewart Taylor owns the copyrights and trademarks as well as Schrade designs (trade dress it is called). "SCH" prefix is usually a giveaway that a knife is a product made for and sold by Taylor Brands.

Taylor Brands' D'holders look like a $30 copie of the Schrade D'holders - that sold for $200 back in 2000.
The minute you hold both knives in your hands you know one of them was made in China for under $10.
In the other hand, that knife was proudly made in the U.S.A and is a well finished Schrade knife... Ken
