Here is a photo of a D'Holder Natchez with Western Canadian Cedar Burl handle resting upon a piece of the burl it came from.

And, I just rotated the D'Holder knives in my Gallery at www.dknifeplace.com - have a look.

My Lord........... That wood is breathtaking.
Wow.. So since that is a Cedar , is it pretty lightwieght ?

No, the knife is about the same weight as D's other Natchez models. D is careful with the balance, heft and feel of all his knives.

That cedar Burl had seen use as a 'clock', a family room table, and now is responsible for 3 D'Holder knives. One of which my son received for Christmas, since he literally grew up with the handle material.

Being that I live in Edmonton and get to Calgary quite often, I'm thinking I should contact you next time I'm heading that way. It would be fun to see all those D'Holders.
