Picked up a combination diamond benchstone (400/1000) a few days ago, and started in on reprofiling my RAT-3.
Heard that D2 was a pain to reprofile and expected it to take some time, as I'd reprofiled a 154CM blade by hand with sandpaper earlier, but within 10 minutes, I have a perfectly even new edge bevel with practically no damage to the blade coating. Better yet, the clean up is real easy, just have to rinse off the steel dust, and there's no abrasive slurry to clean.
I intend to pick up some DMT benchstones too, hopefully they'll have something lower than 400 grit. These things are awesome, I might eventually end up sharpening everything by hand...
