I was browsing eBay and came across a seller in China selling these diamond stones for the Edge Pro and I was wondering if anyone has tried them?

At less than $5 go ahead and order one and give it a try, I wouldn't hold my breathe in hoping it's good though. I have honestly heard nothing about it but I have heard of people getting DMT's and other diamond stones mounted on the Edge Pro.

Yoire right, for $4.50 shipped it's worth taking a risk so I ordered one of the 200grit stones and I'll give it a shot and see how it works out. If it doesn't work I'll go back to my origional plan of making my own out of 1x6in Eze Lap stones.

I got all of then a few time ago.
All of them anglued the first Day so I glued again with cianocrilate and Works quite well, I use it before the 3M lapping film.
Sorry about mi english.

Im not to worried about them coming unglued Im more worried about them wearing out quickly. Agustin07 how do you like these diamond stones compared to the stock Edge Pro stones?

I have a 140 atoma, it's too rough for normal use, this one are diamond stones, a bit softer than the atoma, I Sharp more than 20 knife an I don't apreciated them less efective.
I'm sure they are not going to last as the atoma do, but I think they worth the money.

I used eze lap diamonds for a long time. Ruined a set with too much pressure so I replaced them and got long service out of the second set. Have recently switched to the atoma set and I do consider them an upgrade

I received the 200 grit diamond stone in the mail the other day and out of the box the stone was way to aggressive and had a little lip on the edge so I had to rub it against a cheap silicon carbide stone to break it in and take off that lip. After that it worked perfectly and it cut s30v very quickly compared to the Moldmaster 180grit I normally use for reprofiling. The scratch pattern isnt as consistent as the Moldmaster stone but it is much better then I was expecting for $4. Overall I'm pretty darn happy with the stone and now I'll just have to see how long it lasts.

Here's a pic of the edge after the 200grit stone, it's a little hard to see but the scratch pattern is pretty good

Got a set on Aliexpress for $12 with 200, 500 and 800 grit stones. I've sharpened several knives and they still seem to be going strong. Just remember to let the stones do the work. Wish I could get more in both coarser and finer grits. 50, 80, 100, 150, 1000, 1200, and 1500 grits would be fantastic.

Im really surprised that these stones aren't more popular! There are some ceramic stones made by Yijian on Alliexpress that look pretty interesting as well.

Hi friends,

I found some more grits of this diamond sones. From 80 to 2000.

I hope you like, I just order the full kit.

Those look very interesting and I like that they are available in a wide range of grits for a reasonable price. Please let me know how they work out.

I've been using these for a few years now and I am very happy with them. I use them either on my Hapstone M2, my Hapstone V7 or even on my Edge Pro apex if I feel nostalgic on the day.

Still uncertain as to what exactly they use as a grit rating, it does not tie in with FEPA-P, FEPA-F or JIS but I've found a good progression to be 80,120,400,600,1000,2000, then on Diamond pasted strops with hair splitting results.

I've had great success with them on everything from cheap kitchen knives, all the way up to all of my super steels - Maxamet, S110V, ZDP189 to name a few.

My set of Venev diamond bonded hones, my Shapton Glass and my Choseras have been gathering dust for nearly 2 years now after using these. It's not that the other stones don't work, but I find these to work so damn fast and so well on almost Everything that I sharpen, that I just keep falling back to these cheap Chinese diamond plated hones.

Highly recommended.

I wonder how they compare to the CKTG diamond plates. For a budget diamond hone I found those work pretty well, but those Ruixin ones are even cheaper.
