When I first saw this knife laying in the bottom of a bucket I thought it was a cheap Pakistan knock-off. But when I cleaned the crap off the outside and cleaned the tang, to my surprise I found this.

So once home I cleaned it more and took it to the buffer. I didn't take all the dings out of it, gives it character. There are a few corrosion pits in the blade but nothing major. Now off to sharpen it up. A nice addition to the family I think.

Well, nice save...and it's a fingergroove model, makes it even nicer. Preston

Sithus, A nice 1994-- 110 finger groove . Yes thats worth cleaning up and keeping . Was the sheath anywhere around ? Enjoy you new Buck knife . DM

Terrific find.

All I've ever found in a bucket is a dried rag, water, a hole, the bottom of the bucket or dirt.

You, on the other hand, are lucky lucky lucky. Buy a lottery ticket while you are on a roll. And, when you win don't forget your friends. :D

For sure a piece of luck. A lot of us would love to find a FG 110. I also think you should get a lottery ticket.

I'd like to hear to background story. Where was the bucket, what were you doing with the bucket? We all want to know what buckets we should be looking in!! :)

I bought "the bucket" at a barn sale. It had some tools I wanted, some I didn't. But you had to buy everything, you could not pick and choose or even look past what you could see on the very top. A different way to get rid of things. So at the bottom with some rusty flakes and dirt, was the knife. It was $10.

So am I. I was going to use a coupon I got from Buck early this year to get a sheath. Even after I moved into my new house the wife and I bought I saw it, but do you think I can find it now for the discount, no.
