With the introduction of DMT's cream colored diamond stone, I can now get my knives as sharp as I will ever want using only a diafold sharpener. It's double sided:- green (extra fine) on one side and cream colored extra-extra fine on the other. the extra-extra fine uses a grit of 8000 mesh, 3 micron. As far as I am aware it is only available in three models right now:-- A double sided diafold (green one one side and cream on the other), a 4"X1" diamond whetstone and an eight inch dia-sharp bench stone. I only own the diafold.

I have been doing edge touchups for a long time with DMT's green colored diafold model but always wished for a finer grit. That wish has now come true. Results with the extra-extra fine diafold have been extremely gratifying. And sharpening is very fast. As soon as they come out with this grit in their diminutive mini-sharp model I will pounce on it.

Thanks for the review, Vorpal Blade!

Have been looking at that particular Duofold for a while as a potential 'touch-up' for kitchen knives that wouldn't involve a trip to my creepy basement for the strop or benchstones.

I've been using the EF/EEF DiaFold, along with a C/F, with my MagnaGuide. They're all excellent, and the EEF just takes an edge to yet another level.

The vorpal blade went snicker snak!
He left it dead and with its head he went galumphing back. Thanks for that!!

I'll have to look for that... haven't seen one yet in Canada. I've been annoyed that my Sebbie 21 in S35VN will only top hair... it won't shave electrons off atoms to make isotopes worth a darn!

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be happy to try it. DMT's duofold ceramics were a huge disappointment for me, and I usually like most everything they make. This should fill that void nicely!
