Hey guys been doing some reading and have some questions probably for Jason ,but anyone feel free to chime in .
I have the entire dmt lineup except the 120 micron plate . Rather than get the dmt 120 I believe I'll get the atoma 140.
I've read that the grits from the atomas to the dmts don't really match .
So i have dmt xc-eef or 220-8000.
If I got the atoma 140 can the dmt 220 remove the scratches or would I need the dmt xxc ?
I'm thinking I may need the 140 and then 400 atoma then jump to dmts ? Thoughts experiences? Or I thought maybe the 140 and 600 ? I'm thinking of buying one base and plate and just adding the pad and making it double sided .
9/10 if I'm using diamonds I just use the diamonds and go about my business . If a knife needs refined I'll usually use my shaptons . I have the pro 320 and glass 1k and 4k. Not sure if that helps but some people praise shaptons for their ability to remove scratches from low grit diamonds if the 320 could clean up the 140 I could be all set
