Diamond rod

Hey guys, is a diamond coated rod good enuf for sharpening my scallion?
i mean i only use the rod an nothing else, no leather strob no sandpaper no nothing.

Assuming the edge has the right profile, yes it will work ok. If the NIB edge is too thick/obtuse you will need to recut it and the rod will do this very slowly. Most rods are medium diamond grit which is fairly aggressive, more so than the Spyderco medium rods for example, so you get high slicing and low push cutting.

Yes, it'll be enough. Just watch out for the burr, and use very light strokes to cut it off.
