Diamond Rods for 204

The tooling and per part cost of the hollow steel triangle, without diamonds was expesnive to begin with (close tolerance industrial production).

Adding the diamonds to 3 sides of the triangle on two sticks is more diamond surface area than a 2 x 8 diamond whetstone. If you compare it to a DMT diamond Whetstone, there are more diamonds on the Spyderco sticks, especially when you consider the holes in the DMT which do not have diamonds.

All of the parts are made in the USA. The parts are heat treated after plating to insure the hardness of the steel under the diamonds so they don't work loose. We did it right.

We could produce one with a solid (heavy) soft triangle and Chinese diamonds good for two sharpenings, like our competition.

You're right about the three sides, Sal!
I saw that the price was for a set of two rods, which makes it a fair price anyhow.
