Just received my diamond stones. Might I say they are rough; however, they do the job. Just finished reprofiling my Dunkerly hunting FB. Got the two nicks out of edge that I have been unable to get with the other Sharpmaker stones. The edge is now scary sharp and very grabby (just like a spydie). Ninety bucks, yeah it is worth it, it reserected a knife I could not replace. The Perrin FB (#394) is quite a knife. Smaller than I had thought but that is okay. The edge is perfect has serrations on top of blade for the thumb. Overall if feels very light and quick. The sheath (a major concern for some) is very well done and will allow a variety of carry options. Small of back with a cant, Small back with edge perpendicular to ground. Many other variations depending on your needs. Has the ability to made into a neck knife. Weep hole in the tip area of the sheath. The only thing I do not think it will do is IWB (oh well). Tech lock fits 1.5" belt with no problem. 1.5" might be the max width. Overall the sheath is good for a mass produced knife. The lanyard is not included. I will be happy to answer any questions on sheath until someone posts a picture. I have been spending my money on knives and not computer equipment:D.

I agree on the Perrin. The sheath was a major concern because I hadn't seen a picture before I bought the piece, but I am very pleased with the overall quality and construction.
I wish the tek lock would fit a wider belt than the 1.5", I commonly wear a slightly wider belt.
The particular friction mating of blade to sheath is perfect, not too rattley, not too tight. It has clean a smooth draw.

I was suprised at how much subtle design is present that isn't visible on internet pics. There is a good amount of depth sculpt in the handle, swelling at the palm and pommel but remaining slim and flat enough in hand to prevent rolling and losing edge position. Fit and finish is immaculate as usual. Excellent offering from Spyderco and Mr. Perrin.

Thanks,
Ken

On the sheath, just take the tek-lok off, make a loop of paracord and run it through the hole of choice around the edge of the sheath, tie it in a square knot, hold a match to melt the edges of the paracord, and you have an IWB sheath. Now run your belt through the loop. When you draw knife comes out, and sheath stays in place. This system allows the knife to move with you at many different angles etc, as you sit and move. The tek lok is good for other times. I too, think the small tek lok needs to be bigger, but the big tek-lok is too big.

I was kind of afraid the big teklock might be too big, I guess I'll give the paracord technique a shot. Thanks for advise.

There is also holes in the bottom of the sheath. You can tie the 550 cord to the bottom, strap it to your belt, and position it IWB. When it is needed, grap the handle, and pull up!! Knife comes out of sheath and sheath is left at your belt.
