Hi,
having never used diamond hones before, I thought I'd give it a try.
Not wanting to spend a ton of money on something I was uncertain of, I purchased a set from Harbor Freight...
when sharpening a blade, the bevel of the "cut" seems to be inconsistent. I hope I can explain...
The angle of the bevel is consistent, the "width" of the cut narrows towards the center of the knife...here is bad ASCII art
==========____________========
---------------------------------------------------------
The hones seem to be flat to the naked eye, but I was wondering if there is a slight warp in them?
I don't seem to encounter this problem with my synthetic, or arkansas stones...
I know you get what you pay for, did I just get some cheap diamond hones?
