Hi,
having never used diamond hones before, I thought I'd give it a try.
Not wanting to spend a ton of money on something I was uncertain of, I purchased a set from Harbor Freight...

when sharpening a blade, the bevel of the "cut" seems to be inconsistent. I hope I can explain...
The angle of the bevel is consistent, the "width" of the cut narrows towards the center of the knife...here is bad ASCII art

The hones seem to be flat to the naked eye, but I was wondering if there is a slight warp in them?

I don't seem to encounter this problem with my synthetic, or arkansas stones...

I know you get what you pay for, did I just get some cheap diamond hones?

You got them for HF, don't expect much.

I have had the same set for a long time and they work great as a beater stone but don't use them as a example of all diamond stones.

Put a flat edge on the stone and see if it is straight. HF has its place. Some stuff is good and some can be crappy.

me have a bent face? no.
a badly warped mind? quite possibly so.
