Diamondblade Knives?

How are these diamond? I have been retired about 5 years but, as far as I know based on their videos, these blades are treated steel with no diamond coating, solid diamond, diamond in a matrix, or a diamond like material.

No diamonds involved. Diamondblade knives are made using "friction forging", which I gather is something like die forging, which was used by Marbles originally. I believe Roselli also uses die forging, at least for its standard high carbon steel knives. You can find lots more information on the internet. Really nothing special.

Looks like standard D2 steel to me.
