Dice sprint?

Gosh dang if I don't want a Dice pretty bad. Problem is I don't like that weird flashy 'CF' scale.

Is anybody gonna run a sprint? I bought a blue G10 Domino and I love it. I don't want to buy a Dice and then spend another hundred bucks on a 'custom scale' for that sob.

How does sanding off the Jesse Pinkman ICP Snoop Dogg "YO DAWG NOTICE DIS SHIZZ" Carbon Fiber layer of the scale work? Can you sand down to the G10 substrate without affecting the screws?

<-- looks at empty 's in the recycling... Thinks to himself, I need to catch up to Mr.Jones!

It's a Spyderco! I need it to cut things. If it has some fancy carbon fiber on it, it's obviously because massive weight savings!
Anyways, we have some amazing scale fabricators here if you really want the knife but can't do snoop lion carbon fiber. (I think that's Snoop's new rap name.)

a few fractions of a millimeter of CF-lam-over-G10 don't translate to any sort of weight savings over solid G10. I hate the look of the standard Dice scale. I love the look of the Dice overall. Judging by the dearth of Google results, nobody knows. I'm gonna get one and plane 'er down. YO BITCHES! CHECK DIS CARBON FIBER! NOTICE ME!! naaaaaahhh...

yo mrjones, that was my thread above, and thought i would chime in. the g10 underneath looks and feels awesome when you sand through to it and polish it up. scales end up a LOT thinner, which I really like, but YMMV. one thing to look out for is it's really easy to accidentally sand through all the way to the stop pin - I plowed all the way through the g10 to let the pin head shine through, and epoxied it in place to salvage it. there's a lot of info from EvilD on the Spydie forum about this too on this thread: https://www.spyderco.com/forumII/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=69385
I would go for it. I love my modded dice.

I hope to see some sprints coming from Taichung but it hasn't happened yet. If you want a Dice I say get one. I don't think you are gonna see a sprint of it anytime soon. Don't breath in CF dust. Post pics when you are done yo!
