This sequel to the documentary “Alone in the Wilderness” revisits the Thoreau-like life of Dick Proenneke in the Alaskan wilderness in a cabin he built and lived in for more than 30 years. Included: footage of moose, caribou and grizzlies.
 
I got the book for Christmas and must have read it 3 or 4 times. I think this guy is my all time hero. Not only is he a cool at building stuff, but his whole attitude to life and the life around him is outstanding. :thumbup:
 
Absolutly first class. It is being run here on WNYC. I ran into it by chance during the year and have watched it many times including yesterday.
 
i've thought about buying the book as well, glad to know you liked it temper.
 
Can anyone tape it for me and I will send you the costs to ship it to Japan? I would love to see the footage he took.
