Did a little accessorizing this weekend...

I made a few upgrades to knives this weekend. I love customizing stuff.

• Spyderco Techno: I picked up this customized Techno last week and snagged a copper backspacer for it. It came to me with a moonglow spacer, which was neat, but I thought copper really completed the look for this one.
• Benchmade 32 Morpho: Flytanium scales. These are just awesome on the 32. I'm not sure that I'd put them on my 51 because they add quite a bit of weight but they feel just right on the 32. Installation is not for the faint of heart though. These Morphos have a lot of tiny parts in them and a hammer is required for tapping the female pivot pins in & out of the scales. It was well worth the effort though. I installed the copper PM2 scales last week.

Very nice. I actually prefer the 51 with flytanium scales. I always felt the 51 was way too light. With flytanium it puts it right there next to the 42 weight wise. Good looking mods!

I might consider upgrading it then. They do have a set of titanium with copper inlays for the 51 that I REALLY like...

I snagged a decent deal on a set scales for my Morpho 51. PURPLEDC , you were right. The 51 is pretty sweet with titanium scales.

My Spider Monkey with copper scales has a great patina.

The added weight of the titanium really hit home when I picked up the stock 32 Morpho for this photo. I prefer the heavier configuration.
