I scavenged a peice of nylon webbing and some streachy cording I had laying around,Then folded the webbing made two holes in it that match the sheath holes, and put it all together. If you want to do this mod I highly recomend you get some longer screws before starting It would have been a lot easier.

nice quick mod my man. If i woulda thought of this i wouldnt be paying nick to make me a scout leath sheath with a 3/8 firesteel loop :D very nice my man. Btw how do you like you factory sheath? i personally didnt like having to use the snap in order for it to stay straight on my leg. you have any problems like that?

In a way I like it and in a way I don't.I don't like the leg thing but I like how I can turn it a little when I pull it out.And now that I stripped the paint it's got a little rattle to it,but I'm still pretty satisfied with it.

I've been looking for some sort of a fire steel loop for mine for a while now. Great idea and I will be stealing it soon, thanks. I don't mind the factory sheath either...

Looks nice. I thought about going this route when I did my BK2 sheath mod, but I didn't know if it would hold moisture and rust the fire steel or not.

Hey,I would not put my idea on the net if I did'nt want it stolen, and thanks;)

I like this idea...and best of all when you aren't carrying the firesteel, the loop that holds it is soft won't be noticeable.

If you don't mind, could you post a picture of the knife outside the sheath, I'd like to see the finish on the blade.
Thanks

And while we're requesting pics, how 'bout one of its' backside (the sheath/loop)?
