Went to Walmart and got some threadlocker Loctite blue 242. Usually I never use this stuff on my screws but as I am getting into cheaper Balisong knives it's almost a essential to the hardware and pivots. It will definitely come in handy for future Frankenstein mods. That and now I can thread lock all my screws on my knives. Make sure I don't lose any hardware. Now I am on my way to all the proper knife maintenance.

Blue loctite is a must for any knife owner.

Is the WD 40 for knives too? Do a search for "WD 40" in the top right search function. WD40 is more about water displacement then adding lubricant to the surface. There are better lubes out there. Tuf glide, rem oil, nano oil, ballistrol, etc. Yes, they come in a few ounce bottles or syringes but you only need a few drops per blade. They last a surprisingly long time.

I can never find any of those oils and I pass a million gun vendors as the flea market. I want benchmade blue lube.

Consider #243 if you can find it.

Loctite 243 threadlocker is an upgraded version of Loctite 242, and is more of a general-purpose member of our “blue crew.” It is designed to have improved oil tolerance with surface-insensitive properties (plated fasteners no longer require primer), combined with the same overall benefits of the original Blue Threadlocker 242.
