Alright Ill take your word for it, I didn't think it did.

yea i couldnt muster myself to get it. instead i bought a ulysse nardin gmt

I guess either way, you're spending on the high end for the function, not saying either is not worth the price, just that for a few hundred dollars a good axe or watch could be had. Me, I'm a Gransfor and Omega man. Well, Omega watches aren't a few hundred dollars, but still my favorite. :D

For a great watch Omega is the best bang for your money. I'm looking for one at the moment

I'm a Breitling fan personally. But my grail watch is Breguet.

Holy crap! Im not seeing one for much less than 4,000.00 :eek::eek:, Im in the wrong business!!! I just use my cell phone when I need the time, and its a cheapo LG, I threw my Motorola Razor out my truck window, junk.:o

I don't wear a watch. Time is meaningless when you never sleep.

Besides, I hang out in Wilderness & Survival and just prefer to set up little makeshift sundials wherever I go.

yea finding one of these watches is really hard for under 5 grand. they only make a few every other month. but lucky for my my father in law has some good connections with Rolf Schnyder the owner of nardin. i took it yesterday to a jewelers who sells omegas and breitlings. i left it for 2 hours to get sized and when i came back the manager and 2 jewelers asked me questions about it. i guess not many jewelers carry it. but they said that the mechanics of the watch blew omega and breitling away. watches are just like knives you pay for quality. this is a family thing. all the men at one time own one of these watches and now it was my time to get one. Everyone in my family wore this watch from the first day they got it until they passed.

I inherited a nice Omega watch from my grandfather but I don't wear it, as I tend to be rough on my watches.

I watched that 1/3 Busse axe auction close, I was a bit disappointed to not see it sell, I thought it was a very interesting auction. I had a few hogs under suspicion for who I thought might actually lay down the cash.

If not anything else, I can't help but wonder if it was sold under the table after the auction closed, since the item wasn't re-listed.

I've had a Titanium and Rose Gold SeaMaster for years.
I've have another Rolex when the house sales.

I think Oris is a really good value, a little different styling, and you won't see it on everyone elses' wrist.

Figures...you spend $500(average maybe?) on a knife, you would spend over $3,000 on a watch lol :p

Buying good watches is like buying good knives -- You're not spending money so much as tying your money up in watches/knives. You can always sell them and recoup most of your money, especially if you're a smart buyer.

Anyway, that's what I tell my wife. :D

Back on topic, maybe Progunner can give us a heads up if we'll ever see that axe made available (by him) again...

I think I'll keep mine till the price goes up a bit higher, or I no longer think that its the holly grail of the Busse line.
