While I was running around making my sig, searching for silhouettes of the 2 and 16, by the way, I found your post Warrior, thanks a ton for posting those, and if I get the bored time I will make a BK 8 silhouette for you to slap on there. Anyhow, I was running around the interwebz and found several dealers, I don't know if they all of the are BFC dealers so I won't name them, except for one which I just checked against this thread which I assume is fairly accurate given the date: ***List-Of-Bladeforums-Dealers***

Now, the one I found that did match up with the aforementioned (yay, I know a big word!) is Blade HQ (link to BK 16), now on to my reason for posting this.

It has a saber grind instead of a full flat grind, any ideas why? I thought the regular production models were all gonna be FFG, but according the picture, there are going to saber ground versions.

Now, this probably won't have any real affect on anyone, except maybe Ethan, given that he REALLY REALLY REALLY for more than 30 years wanted a FFG 16, and myself because now my one of 250 isn't special anymore....

The normal production run of the bk16 will be ffg. There won't be any normal production saber grind bk16's. The picture that they have is a stock photo that was probably sent out to all the Kabar dealers. If you look at the pic on Tomars, they have the same picture too.

I don't think this means that they are going to be anything other than FFG, just that the picture they had to use was of one that wasn't.

Of more interest is that the picture they have is of a saber ground 16, with the new coating and laser etching. Which means there exists at least one. We need Kabar to come up off that and throw one of us a bone, cause that would be one heck of a collectors item.

That's what was going through my mind after I looked at it more closely.

That sig screams of compensation...

I didn't see how big it was until you pointed it out, I'm off to resize the image to a more appropriate level. On a side note, between your comment's tone of context and your avatar, I feel like I just got slapped in the face.

Ok, I made it smaller. Is it still over compensating?

It doesn't appear to be a BF sigline, but a user added sigline at the end of his post...
Cool food for thought though even if it is huge ;):)

You are correct, I'm stealing OD's technique.

All that info in your sig should be on your profile page on not below all your posts. It's flamingly obnoxious. Good thing my phone hides sigs, or I'd have to send Bladite after you with a bottle of vaseline.

Get rid of that sig. Seriously, it's Waaaay bigger than is allowed for REAL sigs, and not only did you quote three different individuals, you wrote out short biographies for each one. Nobody wants to scroll through that to read posts. Look at other member's sigs, does anyone have anything even close to being that big and obnoxious? Pick one quote, pic one picture, purchase a gold membership and then use your sig line. Please.

Sorry guys, I was trying to figure out the different scaling on here, and as you can see aside from the mini bios and the picture I didn't spend that much time on it, for now I'm gonna reduce it to one quote with smaller text and the image, I'll be upgrading to gold or platinum after the summer starts, I wanna get a 3 year subscription.

This. I don't mean to be rude, and I'm a relative newb on these boards, but in general for forums it is bad form to have a sig that is on average 2x longer than your posts, including the quotes in your posts. And further on this board you aren't even supposed to have a sig until you get a paid membership, so don't "cheat" the system.... a basic membership is like $10 per year, then you will be able to have a real sig within the rules.
