did Benchmade ever produce a blue 941?

i see a few blue 940s, a BT coated one, and a KOTM edition with a uncoated blade. but did they make a 941 with the blue handle? or red for that matter?

They've made them in both colors, maybe with different options, but they were all limited runs to the best of my knowlege.
I'm pretty sure the blue has been made with the BC1, and the red with the BT coating, but beyond that I don't know much about them.

bummer, sounds like i'll be paying a premium no matter what.

you say the blue used BC1? that's very interesting. i must say i'm not a fan of BM's BT coating at all, so it's kinda nice to hear that the blue 941 didn't use it. thanks for the info, Owen.

I found some threads that mentioned red handles and BC1 on the 941.
I did a search of "941 blue", and skimmed a few threads.
You might try that, and some other terms. One guy had sold a mottled blue/black handle one with a black blade, which sounds pretty cool.
Benchmade does limited runs that are never advertised, so there's no telling what's out there. I saw a 940 with a partially serrated, BT coated blade and a red/black mottled handle at a local gun shop awhile back...

that was my first shot at it, and my search turned up nothin'. i've found a few shots in peoples' personal galleries, showing the blue 940, with and without a coated blade, but nothin' in the way of a 941.

Newgraham has a blue handled 941BC1-BL listed on their Prototype page, but it's sold out. A google search for that model# turns up very little.
 
As said, they made them in a few colors.

I have the blue one also, but for some reason, don't have pics of it.
