Did BUCK Ever Make a Fixed Blade with a 10 Inch blade?

Hey all,

Hope someone can get me some info here on this one.

I have an online buddy that saw where I was talking about a fixed blade knife and he said he was sending me one cause he doesn't use it any longer and hoped that I could get some used out of it.

He said it was made by BUCK. Said it was the biggest blade BUCK had made and had a 10 inch blade on it. Didn't know how old it was, but thought it was more than 2-30 years old. Just a guess though.

I tried looking but couldn't come up with a "budget" BUCK knife that has a blade that big. I seriously doubt that he would be talking about the Frontiersman, not a 10 inch blade and also a really nice knife, one that I doubt he would give away. They also made or still make a fixed blade that resembles the 119 with the black phenolic handle but with a skinny blade. It could be that one, but I don't think that one has a 10 inch blade. I am going on the fact that he is just wrong about the length of the blade and is off by a few inches.

I'm just curious if this description rings a bell with anyone?

I guess I'll find out Tuesday or so, he mailed it Today from NY state.

Any guesses?

Thanks for your help and time guys and gals.
Have a great weekend.

Larry

Not sure about your knife or what else buck has done but the recently discontinued hoodlum has a 10 inch blade.

651 nighthawk pigsticker had a big blade 13" i think. might be the biggest bladed buck ever made? you should ask a mod to move this to the buck forum. some of those well versed and educated on all that is buck bcci lifers or Mr. Hubbard over there will know.

These 2 ^ are good guesses and their blade is in that neighborhood. Buck in the 70's & 80's would make a 124 in any length blade you wanted.
I've seen some with 12" blades. Yes, this should be moved to the Buck Forum to get more feedback. DM

so ordered.

Here are two large Buck Bowie's, the dark handled Bowie is the 909 Mountain Bowie, the light colored one is the 903 Special Bowie. Both of these meet your blade size.

Oh, don't forget that if you ordered a 124 from the old custom shop for a small fee per inch you could order whatever length blade you wanted. Some of the 124 collector's here on this site have some 124 short sword's ;).
