I've searched here and a few sights and cannot determine if they made a DSF with no choil. I am debating between the DSF and BJ as my larger knife. I don't think I will ever really baton, but that is the intended purpose of this blade. Wood prep primarliy. I am thinking DSF is longer and better suited for this, however, I am choil adverse. If a DSF without a choil is available then I can wait and watch the sale forums. If not, then more decisions have to be made.

Not that I recall I have ever seen. However, I have a dsf and a boss jack (plus many others) and the dsf is one of the most under-rated Busses of all time!! Great size, sturdy enough for
anything, fairly easy to snag on the exchange and one of the lowest price Busse's out there

dead on. I wouldn't sell my DSF or DSSF for twice what they are going for. Of course it is fairly easy to get BOSS Jacks close to original price too for now. I have most of my stuff out at home. ill try to get a good comparison pic in the wee hours.

Never seen one without a choil. Gotta say the choil works real well with the DSF design.
