I have never seen one with an "H" on it.

But I can't say I've looked all that much.

I've seen allot of old Buck knives and I have never seen that pattern. I have never seen a Hoyt made Buck with an H BUCK tang stamp. In my opinion that doesn't look like an H. The second down line kicks out like an R

Wow, sold for $149.51......
So do we think it's a Hoyt Buck or not? Now that it's sold, anyone telling?

If it had been real......I suspect it would have gone higher than that.

Somebody just took a gamble, probably. Not me.

:)

I agree, if it was a real Buck knife made by Hoyt it would have sold for much more. I don't believe it's a Buck.

If anyone has some really old Bucks, they might compare the font for the "BUCK" stamp. That might give a clue. I have my doubts about this one, but I don't know much about the old fixed blades. To me, the design and handle construction seem too different. Is it possible that someone took a Buck blade and did a modification of both the blade and handle?

Thats looks like is says HH BUCK ? I am not a expert on these knives.
But their are a few BCCI guys and Joe of course are The Experts on the older BUCK Knives. In my research on BuckMaster Knives. I found that a few folks at BUCK are trying there best to catalog stuff. This is Mostly Joe Houser. I know that Richard Machoney(sorry Spelling) worked very hard to catalog some knives for the BCCI. PLUS many Folks like the Foresmans and other work real hard to put great info out for everyone. The older early BUCK knives unfortantly lack written History as such.

Hey Rich, who wrote that book for you?

:D

His post looks like it might have been written on an older cell phone and posted.

It scared me when I would see an email I wrote on my old cell phone....LOTS of mistakes!!

The iPhone I use now is much better. :)
