Did I buy a real Sebenza or a fake?

Last year, I purchased a small, left handed Sebenza on eBay. It was used and no paperwork came with it. It is a different style than the small right handed Sebenza that I bought new in a knife store several years ago. I really don't think that it is a fake but...last year I bought another Chris Reeve knife that members here had pointed out was a fake. Here are some photos of the knife. The G-10 scale that is with it was a custom piece that I bought at a later date from someone else.

I'd like your opinions as to it's authenticity.

I'll eat my hat with out salt or pepper if that knife is fake but that clip, while still a CRK clip, is not original to that knife. The rest of it looks sound as a £ to me.

Not disagreeing with Haze, just expanding on the possibilities... The clip may, (or may not) be original to that knife, but assuming it is... it's definitely been re-blasted. The finish on the clip was produced by a different blasting media than what's used at the factory.

It's real and the clip looks to have been reblasted or somehow from a different batch.

It's a real Sebenza that has a new clip and looks like it has had the tip rounded off. Possibly a form of repair from the tip being snapped off.

Thank you guys. I appreciate the info.

Good catch on the clip. It had slipped my mind when I posted this last night. When I bought the knife, it had no clip. I found a knife store online that had CR Sebenza replacement clips in stock so I ordered one.

I would also like to appoligize for the forum rules violation in my original post.

You had to find out somehow. I'm glad it turned out to be real, you made a great choice. Now use it and enjoy it!

I suppose there could be a better pocket knife than a Sebenza but I've never seen it. My search for the perfect carry knife ended when I bought my first Sebenza. I guess I could try a large one.

do I see 2 ".." near the "s" of the blade? may just be dirt

clip looks redone to me too, too different
blade looks fine in the first pics, strange in the assembles ones, must be the angle the pics where take at

the rest makes it look real, flames ti, date on handle, machining, stamp...
