Did I buy some dogs?

I aquired an SOG Autoclip X-42 in BG-42 steel anda Spydie Wayne Goddard large plainedge. I decided to trade them off or sell them and I can't seem to do either. I even tried to auction them off to no avail. I'm rather new to the knife world and I didn't know I was getting some knives that NO ONE wants! I figured I could enjoy them for a while then trade them for something else, which seems to be the program around here. I was wrong apparantly.

Did I get some dogs or what?

I read up a bit on the Autoclip, and people seemed to like it fairly well. Never looked up much on the Goddard. It can be hard to sell good knives I guess. Probably depends on what's big at the time...

I think you have some decent knives but both can be had for pretty cheap. if you don't sell them for like 1/4 what they cost you then you probably won't sell them at all. since they are inexpensive in the first place someone might as well buy the new ones. when people here buy and sell knives it's usually higher ones that cost from $75 even up to $500 and customs go for more than that sometimes. I haven't had much luck selling Cheap ones either thats why I let them go for very cheap just to get a little more cash for a higher end one.

Also, keep in mind that the lousy economy is affecting the knife market too. It was a lot easier to sell used knives a year ago than it is right now.

You sly devil you. You must be careful. People with suspicious minds like mine might think you were trying to let people know you had a couple of knives you wanted to sell without having a Gold membership. I am pretty sure that that was not your intent, but it does seem to have woked out that way.

The knives you have mentioned should get some interest from people wanting to trade, as long as you are not looking for too much in return. They are pretty good, low priced knives.
