Did I do good?

Today I bought what looks like a gerber ez out at a used knife store, the grips are the same as the ez out but it has a sheeps foot type blade with partial serrations on it, black coating and is marked USA s30v steel on it and gerber emblem on blade. I didn't even know Gerber used this steel. It has a little blade play but not to bad and some slight wear on the blade; I bought it for 10 dollars what do you think its worth and did I get a good deal.

Thanks :)

if it's S30V, you probably did well. I had an EZ Out that got annihilated by sand and dust. If you want to keep your knife working, keep it clean.

yes its one of the newer gerber line that I would consider decent. they also have a gerber gater in a drop point 154cm, and I have the model EZ out prior to that sheepsfoot also in s30v and have been working on makeing a new handle for it.

I haven't handled any recently, but the older EZ-Out and Gator knives were pretty nice. Very comfortable handles, decent build quality, and OK materials. Definitely worth the prices paid.
