You did pretty well. That's probably going price for a full sized SOCOM manual, and the tanto version, I believe, is moderately rare. Great knife!
 
nice knife. its an auto right? if so not a bad price.

the rare tantos are the elite manuals though, IIRC very very few of them made (i have never seen one FWIW)

as far as tip up/down ya got me thats just the way they are, i like tip ups better myself also.
