Did I ever float an idea about a longer bladed Native?

Garlic.....sssshhhhhhh!!!!

We gotta lead them in ...... g e n t l y......

An give em time to sell 72 jillion billion of em to SEE that it's a good idea.

THEN they can come out with the IMPROVED one.

haha, classic. unfortunately, too true. dammit.

A longer blade Native would be great. I could really cut the bread with a longer blade. And the VG-10 would make it perfect. :)

fret........ You GOT it! That's the ONLY drawback of the Native as is.
It has the PERFECT blade shape........but.......... can only be used to cut NOODLES!

WHAT a blade with that geometry and enough length to actually cut some BREAD.

Or cheese......wait..... that could be misinterpreted.

But it IS such a useful shape to be confined to short tasks.

I had one and cutting a hose was just fine except you had to take itty bitty strokes and use a lot more pressure.

THAT'S IT !!! Voila! Eureka!

Sal is so concerned with .....ergonomics...... and he has PERFECT ergonomics in the Native with the limitation of cut.

Not good. Needs to be longer for those of us who want to cut, oh say....salami..... instead of beef sticks.

:) :) :)

Hey! Maybe get TWO Natives, section one, cut the other, insert and weld section into the cut one, polish, resharpen, do same to handle, and...and...

Nope....gotta make it from scratch.

Whimper, plead, grovel.....

 ;) :)

I would enthousiasticly "settle" for a VG10 FRN native with a 4" or so blade.

A native was my first good folding knife, and after I gave it to a kind stranger for doing a good deed, it was replaced with another native.

They will always hold a sentimental place in my heart but like the delica needs the endura, the native NEEDS to have a full size counterpart.

definitely.. the thing is, the blade shape of the native is too seductive for FRN trim. gotta have that G10.

sal, have mercy.

Hmmmm....

A LARGER Native you say?

As unheard of as it seems, that idea seems just crazy enough to work.
