MRSPY,welcome to tha hawk forum. In my opinion you can throw and stick pretty my any hawk, hatchet or axe. A blade with an unswept upper edge will stick if you over throw a bit or throw from a fraction farther away from the target. I expect theres no reason why it shouldn't be a fun thrower.

Have fun

Robin

my experience with the CS Norse hawk is that you need about 5-10 minutes on a belt sander to clean up the edges so it'll stick in a target. Other than that, they're decent throwers. (and regrinding is no big deal, unless you're doing it by hand)

Well i hope that's not the case here. The company brags about how sharp the blades are and customers are saying the same thing. Well I guess i'll just have to see......

Looks like it will do the job for you. I have never tried one of those.
My thrower of choice is the ATC VTAC..( great throwers )
When you get it let her fly and let us know how you like it.....

The Norse hawk does stick well on the upper edge point but i have found the big curved lade edge does not stick that well if it hits on the curve. The other thing is, I have never gotten a CS hawk that I would call sharp. They can be made sharp but come from the factory with work needed. I find the head comes loose on the Norse quite easily.

I personally think it's a good thing if they get lose. I was watching a video and this tomahawk throwing expert said that you kind of want them to get a little lose. Reason being that if you throw the tomahawk, and the handle hits the target, it won't break and the blade will just slide down. This can easily be fixed by pounding blade back up the end.

My Norse hawks arrived today and I love them! They stick amazing, but like you said i do find it hard sticking them in the middle of the blade. Actually so far i'm not to impressed with the Condor one. It never sticks to the target. :P I'm gonna sharpen it tommorrow and see if that helps(it's quiet dull) Other than that it's a really nice tatical tomohawk, i just think the norse hawks will be better for throwing. :)

Condor pieces sometimes have QC issues. Sounds like the obtuse edge on yours is such an issue. Thin it out and it should do just fine--I've tossed a few around before and it was good fun, but they were ones with good edges.
