Did I get lucky on this one...

I've been on a Copilot collecting spree lately and I think I picked up an early one or it's just different. It does not have the steel listed on the blade like my others and it appears to have brass liners. Does anyone know which steel this is and possible when it was produced?
And it was this forum that started my addiction, and when the wife finds the combination to the safe I'll blame you guys for my attorney fees. LOL

That's definitely from the initial batch made in the late 80's. I always liked the brass liner look.

Thanks, I want to get some of the scratches out and giving it a general cleaning. I'm shocked at how snappy this thing is, it snaps open with authority.

Thanks Sal, I'm glad to go from looker to my collection growing enough to have a lot of questions. Hunting down some of the older models has been quite the challenge and well worth it.
