I have a 7/8 in bevel. I tapered it down till both halves make a sharp edge. Did I grind too far? Should I reprofile till its about a 32nd flat then keep working on the finish?

Thanks

I'm not real sure I understand all your question but if you don't break the spine with the bevel grind you should be okay there. The edge can be sanded off a little to increase its thickness.

gotcha.....now how do I fix a plunge cut??? time to get creative huh?

Well, I really don't know what's wrong with it so I will stab at it again. Some and I have used flat files by hand to dress them up. Doing it that way needs to be done before the blade is hardened.

More specificity in your questioning will attract better responces from the more experienced makers here.
