Well for weeks I was looking for bushcraft/camping knife. I found some i really like but to exp. for me like woodlore and some hand made, I allso like F1 alot but i wanted something more classic.I prefer the look of droppoint ower spear point so today I ordered Bark River Fox River with Brazilian Rosewood Mosaic Pins . I will juse it with Gransfors Bruks mini as combo. What do you guys think, did I made good move?Yea and i wanted knife around 4 inch.

I like BRKT knives. Owned many of them and liked them all. Great steel, wicked sharp convex grind:thumbup:

If you're happy with them, it doesn't matter what we think, but I would say you did:D

Nope.. Terrible choice..

Send it to me, and I'll get rid of that terrible thing for you!

Just kidding. They are really nice knives, and the Gransfors mini will compliment it nicely!

Great Choice:thumbup: REMEMBER to post some pics when it get's there!

Personally I think Brazilian Rosewood with Mosaic Pins is a great choice. I went with Antique Stag, but it's really personal choice. Going with a GB Mini is good too. There I went with the slightly bigger Wildlife hatchet, again it's personal choice.

I took mini because is more light, what are your experience with fox river model? Any down side?

Some folks think that non-stainless is a downside, I don't. You've got chopping covered with the GB mini and the Fox River should do well at most other things a knife needs to do. It's a good choice for a general purpose field knife.

Knife arived today and is great.Shape, size everything fits me. Ill post photos tomorrow

I've been drooling over a Fox River for over a year and I finally purchased one last December. The fit and finish was superb, and it was shaving sharp out of the box. The only criticism I have is that the handle is too small for my large hands. This would have been very disappointing is it was not for the fact that I bought it for Mrs. Q and it rides today in the trunk of her car with the rest of her PSK. However, if you are a lagre guy with big hands I would recommend that you hold a Fox River before you buy one. $0.02

Absolutely a good decision!

I had to get a Fox River, being called Fox and having foxes at the end of our garden. Mine was previously owned and needed a little TLC to the edge, but it's by far my favourite knife. Easily hair-popping sharp and even takes the tops off a little. Takes all the tops off if I do my chest rather than my arm! Mine has the green and black linen handle and hollow pins. The mosaic pins look really nice though.

I think CitizenQ's remark about the small handle is correct. I have medium size hands and it just fits perfectly. I think if my hands were larger it would be a touch small.

Rick.

Something that is always an option... Contact Mr. Stewart and send your knife to Bark River, and get it re-handled! He is very willing to help out!
