did i miss something with browning knives?

Browning doesn't make knives. They contract out the Browning name, and I've seen a few good-looking knives over the years with their name on them. I bet these are simply made by TOPS, with green micarta instead of TOPS black to distinguish them. And they're not undercharging for them ... :)

I've got a quince wood presentation from Browning, I think it's model number is either a 305 or a 306. It is stationary in my knife roll, but I like it just the same. I would like to know who made it.

Yes, TOPS is making this new tactical line for them. Some are new designs, some are other TOPS models with the Browning stamp on them.

I kind of like that X-3 model it could have some potential, but $299 for a knife in 1095? Give me a break! I'm not knocking 1095 its a good steel for a knife under $100 but for that kind of cash I want something w/ a little more bang for the buck.

good to know, i hope this brings more business and attention to TOPS. thanks

The only browning I own is an older model 52 stag and file work smallgame .its a beautiful little knife.

I owned one of Browing's plastic handled folders a while back but wasn't too impressed with it's edge holding ability.I do like the look of those "tracker" styled knives in the first posting. For the money however I'd buy the original.tom.

well, this should be good news, my local gun shop has each of these priced at around $75, so it looks like theyre a bit more affordable than TOPS regular stuff

I have a Signature 734. I swear it goes dull just sitting.

I "looked at" a larger model at the gunshop. So hard opening it was ridiculous.

Test before you buy I would say.
