A Classic sold on the bay for $2,000.00. I was not NIB and was not advertised as so, not the original box and the card was resissued. It was numbered 24-50. Was there something that made it that special?

I realised that there are people that makes 200k a month while I make 2k. So to them, they are just buying something they like. Lol.

I didn't get it either ??? What was so cool about a classic at $2K???Time to start etching some scales????

It's easy to get caught up in a bidding war. I did it yesterday with the one that went for 1500.00, but that CRK was misrepresented as being in mint condition and the seller failed to list it was refurbished. I guess for some, it's not about the money as much as it is about pride and bragging rights
I think what's happening to CRK knives now is what's been happening with other popular names, it's a buyers market for older CRK's and folks want them. I've been seeing other brands going for 2 or three times the real price of the knife. Now, those brands are getting to a reasonable price and the CRK's are getting stupidly high, so maybe the trend is CRK's now which makes it tough for working folks to buy on secondary markets. I think I'll buy here until things settle down elsewhere

Gotta agree with Ajack…. It's no longer about the knife, it's a pissing contest , and chasing the grail, even if less than some peoples grail…. some folks are just getting into this, and didn't see what these "high dollar" CRK's went for even a year ago,,, I'm glad there's excitement, but wish it would settle down a little..I guess we can take some solace in the CRK's we already have and brag about what a "great" deal we got at the time.
