Did I pass up a deal Buck #124 with micarta handle for 200.00

I was in a local pawn shop and they had a Buck 124 looked full tang with micarta and an unstamped sheath for 200.00. Did I pass up the deal of a lifetime or are they out of touch with reality ?????
 
I've seen them go for much less. Figure the pawn shop searched e-bay listings to get the price and they probably paid less than $20 for it. I know where there is one exactly like this one that has been for sale for over a year for $200.
 
Depends on the quality, If it was in excellent condition and the sheath was the same, $200 isnt that much. Thats right in the going rate for a 124. If you can find a micarta 124 for under 200 your doing well. just look at the bay. 124s are one knife where the price doesn't go down much. They hold there value well.
 
If you want it for yourself and it's in excellent condition and you LIKE it a lot........BUY IT!!

Otherwise, it's marginal.
 
Was it in like new condition?If so I'd say yes it's a fair deal.On the other hand the pawn shop has very little money in that knife.Buying something for $200 in a pawn shop I'd offer them $100 cash on the counter and if that don't fly throw down another $25.If they don't take it toss down another $25 and say I'll meet you half way but that's it.Be ready to leave and come back in a week or so to see if they change their mind if it's still there.I bet you get it for $150.Good luck!

My sentiments exactly. The longer it sits there, the more they'll want to move it. The pawn shop in Plant City still has all the 119's they had for $60.00.
 
Like Skyhorse says offer 100 BUCKS .
Lots of variables on micarta 124's.Post pics if you get the 124.
