Just got this one on ebay, a Schrade Ring Turner stamped Schrade Cut Co Walden NY as a promotional item for Wurlitzer.

$21.69 seemed like it was worth it, bein' a Schrade and all, than again I liked it it's an unusual Schrade, or is it really a Schrade?:confused:
 
It's a Schrade, and an old Schrade at that. First one I've seen.
 
The only thing I ever worry about with an auction like that is if they don't show the whole blade. Is there a reason why? They may not know how to take pics or they may be hiding something. I've noticed a few that say "as is" and then the pics aren't very good at all.

Judging from the handles and the blade that shows, that looks good. Let us know how you like it.
 
Hey T., nice snag! I was going to bid on that myself but I've been dealing with some kind of crappy food poisoning for the past WEEK, so I've been spending most of my time on the couch or trying to get some work done. Today's the first time I've actually gone a whole day feeling pretty good, hope I finally shook it. Still , from the sound of it I'd sure prefer this over those kidney stones Mountainwind's been dealing with! You don't see the ring turns too often and to get one with a cool addy like that is a great bonus. Looks like model # R7429GSIL with nickel silver handles. Nice old Schrade in good condition from what can be seen.

As soon as the knife arrives I'll post some clear pics, it'll get pocket use like the other two ring turners I have.
 
IF the blades are good, it's worth considerably more than you paid!
 
Just got the ring turner and this thing is amazing, blades are full and appear to never have been sharpened, there are some spider lines/webbing on the blade,(very little) this knife looked like it was carried but not for long.

The Schrade brand is getting to be more of a collected item. I think you made out ok.
