Did kabar ever make a roll stamped bk4?

I've seen photos of some bk4s with the stamped logo, but they are claimed to be prototypes or pre-productions. The boxes on them also had promo written on them. Does anyone here know for sure if kabar made actual production models with the stamped logo and old smooth black coating?

I've been looking for one with the old sheath as well. A few sellers on ebay show only the old stock photos with the plastic sheaths but the descriptions say its a nylon sheath… super long shot but does anyone know any sellers that have some now old stock bk4s with the plastic sheath?

Yes they did. They were made available to Beckerheads on this forum, direct from Kabar, just before the production release. Stamped logo, old coating. Mine is stripped.

The one with the plastic sheath above is a Camillus BK-4. 1/4 inch thick with no swedge.

Yup - I've contacted a few sellers on the 'Bay because they had those pictures posted...not because I thought they actually had them; but to make them aware that they were misrepresenting their products by improper choice of "stock images". Of course, if they'd actually had one (or more), I'd have snatched a few in a heartbeat. (Not because I need more than one; but to offer up to the 'heads)
